We have an exciting announcement for our membership! The Capital City Cherokee Community (CCCC) is hosting a potluck luncheon on Monday, September 17th for the brave veterans who are being chosen for the Cherokee Nation’s 2018 Cherokee Warrior Flight. George Washington University’s (GWU) Office of Military and Veteran Student Services is partnering with us to provide meeting space and support for the event. We need your help to make this event a success!
We will be hosting approximately 45 visitors including ten honored veterans, one family member per veteran, one Cherokee Nation (CN) staff chaperone per veteran, two CN marshals, EMS, and CN Council members.
We need your attendance at the September 17th luncheon to honor our Cherokee veterans. We will reach out to CCCC members within the next couple of weeks with an RSVP request that will include the time and GWU DC campus location of the luncheon. Because of space limitations, we will be reaching out to our CCCC membership before we open the event to other Cherokee citizens in the area.
