A Date To Remember
From the minutes of the Cherokee Nation Community Association’s February 26, 2016, meeting of the Board of Directors: “The Capital City Cherokee Community has successfully satisfied the requirements as outlined in [CNCA] Bylaws. Therefore, Capital City Cherokee Community is acknowledged by the Cherokee Nation Community Association (CNCA) as a Chaptered Organization.”

February 2016 Meeting
In addition to conducting community business, members enjoyed a Cherokee Nation Community & Culture Outreach (CCO) training video on “Cherokee Traditional Plants” and Cherokee growing/cultivation cycles, which includes discussion on the Cherokee Nation seed bank, Cherokee “heirloom” seeds, GMO seeds, vegetables/plants important to the Cherokees, etc.
